Request for Proposals
Yadkin County is requesting proposals for a GIS website host provider beginning July 1 2012, and lasting for three years. The organization providing these services will need to possess the ability to store and host the data provided by the County on their hardware and use software that is compatible with various internet browsers. Online access will need to be provided for both the County and the general public. Yadkin County is taking proposals from companies that are able to provide a website that can perform the following functions and provide the following tools:

Each proposal submitted in response to this solicitation shall provide the information requested in Items 1 through 13 below, in that order. Each proposal shall be at least 7 pages and no more than 15 pages.
1. A brief description of the vendor making the proposal and a statement of availability, capacity, and interest in providing these services.
2. Experience, especially as related to providing similar GIS services for similar clients.
3. Qualifications of the personnel to be assigned to provide these services to the County, including but not limited to qualifications of the professionals that will be involved in the project.
4. How are hosting price increases handled? Please provide your company’s
price increases for GIS web hosting services for the last five years.
5. If awarded the contract for GIS Services on June 1, 2012, how long would it take for the County GIS web site to be live and available for public and County access?
6. What firms does your firm compete with and how is yours different?
7. Describe all fees associated with your services including, SET UP FEE, STORAGE, MAINTENANCE, and TECHNICAL SUPPORT & ALL OTHER FEES.
8. Please describe where your firm is now and where it will be in five years.
What new features / tools will you be introducing over the next 5 years?
9. A list of at least three references with contact names and phone numbers.
Please describe the work you did for these references. References should be from similar projects and, to the extent possible, from similar clients.
10. It is our desire to have "One" point of contact. Who would that contact be?

Firms would not?
11. Please answer the following questions.

g. Number of NC Counties that firm has worked for in the last five years
12. Can your firm provide a site that will:
a. Link to a document that covers how to use the tools that are available on the site.
b. Accommodate multiple orthos.
c. Provide a host party that provides a Minimum 80 GB of storage for the
Yadkin County GIS Website.
d. Allow Yadkin County to update data at least four times a month with no additional fee or cost.
13. Provide a lump sum annual fee for all the services stated above from 7/1/2012 to 7/1/2015.
The selection of a firm to provide these services will be made by Yadkin County in its sole discretion. Yadkin County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities in any proposal, and to waive any formalities and requirements in selecting a firm.
